PROCESSING BEGINS 15TH SEPTEMBER A high-waisted handwoven midi skirt with tiered raffia fringe and a semi-sheer net underlayer. The Ano Skirt is woven from cotton and silk thread - the silk runs through the plaid pattern at the waist, catching light in the way only hand-woven cloth does. Below the structured waistband, two tiers of dyed raffia fringe fall over a semi-sheer net underlayer, finishing at an asymmetric hem. It is a skirt that moves. Handcrafted in Nigeria by Kíléntár's artisans. STRUCTURE: The waistband is structured and does not stretch. If you are between sizes, size up. OPACITY: The skirt section is semi-sheer. There is no lining - the net is the only layer beneath the fringe. We recommend wearing it with a slip or a fitted undershort in a tonal shade. FABRIC CARE: The fringe on this skirt is dyed raffia. Do not iron it directly - steam gently if needed. Dry clean recommended. Do not tumble dry. Hang to store; do not fold the fringe layers. How do I care for the raffia fringe?Steam only - never iron raffia directly, as direct heat damages the dyed fibres. Dry clean is recommended for the skirt as a whole, never tumble dry. Always store it hanging, without folding the fringe layers, so each tier falls straight and moves freely. Will the raffia crease in shipping?The fringe may arrive slightly compressed from the journey - this is normal and temporary.
